Website privacy and inquiry handling.
Kelowna Film Studios collects only the information needed to operate the site, understand basic website use, and respond to production, location, equipment, crew, careers, and business inquiries.
Free guide downloads.
The filming-guide form stores your submitted email address, guide edition and request time with KFS's private contact records as a resource-access record. These records are maintained alongside our historical KFS and James Alton Films contact data, with their sources and subscription preferences kept separate. Requesting the guide does not enrol you in a newsletter, change an existing unsubscribe preference or send an automatic email. It uses a short-lived, secure browser cookie to make the download link work only in the requesting browser for 30 minutes. Cloudflare Turnstile and a hashed network identifier help prevent automated abuse. No guide form draft is saved while you type. You may request correction or deletion of your resource-access record by emailing contact@kelownafilmstudios.com.
Information we receive.
When you email or contact KFS, we may receive your name, email address, phone number, company, role, location, project details, scheduling information, location references, equipment needs, crew information, career or vendor introductions, and any files or links you choose to provide. Website contact forms ask for name, email and message. To protect against delivery failures, the site may save the latest draft and final submitted version of a form, along with source, referral, browser, device, time, IP-related and hosting metadata.
How it is used.
Information is used to respond to inquiries, evaluate production feasibility, prepare estimates, coordinate services, assess crew or vendor fit, maintain normal business records, and protect the practical operation of the site and business. KFS does not sell inquiry information.
Analytics and site operation.
The site may use privacy-conscious analytics, server logs, hosting records, security tools, or similar operational data to understand traffic, detect abuse, diagnose errors, and improve performance. This may include browser, device, referral, page, date, time, approximate location, and IP-related information handled by hosting or analytics providers.
Cookies and third-party links.
The site may link to external platforms including video hosts, social networks, calendar tools, equipment rental systems, payment providers, maps, partner websites, and production references. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
Confidential material.
Please do not send confidential scripts, treatments, budgets, private production documents, personal data, or sensitive client material through ordinary email unless an appropriate agreement or secure transfer method is already in place.
Retention and updates.
KFS may retain inquiry, project, crew, vendor, and business correspondence where useful for legitimate business records, follow-up, legal obligations, or future production reference. Draft form backups are intended as short-term recovery records and are stored as a single latest state for that browser session rather than a typing history. You may request a correction or deletion of personal inquiry information, subject to normal business and legal record requirements.
